For those interested, the 2009 Education Track still have openings for members who wish to help plan organization and coordination of the tracks content. Kevin Feenan has taken up the lead track role by creating an interesting and in-depth programs and is holding a meeting on Saturday, May 16th, 2009 to help fill the following positions:
- (1) Co-Chair. The Co-chair will be helping with the overall strategic focus and attend meetings of the SLCC Organizing Committee. In addition the Co-Chair will be responsible for acting as a Conference Moderator on-site during the conference. This person needs to be in attendance at the conference and their conference fee will be covered as a member of the organizing committee.
- (2-4) Conference Moderators. The conference moderators will be helping with the development of the program, recruiting and reviewing submitted proposals, and running the programs at the SLCC conference. Conference moderators need to have a background in conducting team breakout sessions and leading group discussions (i.e this will not be a passive role). These people need to be in attendance at the conference and their conference fee will be covered as a member of the organizing committee.
- (2) Communication Coordinators. The communications coordinators will be helping with managing communications with SLCC conference attendees, program submissions, managing the Google group, twitter, and other communications as necessary. These people ideally also need to be in attendance at the conference providing on-site assistance as runners, providing twitter and other communication updates, and helping the conference moderators prepare for each session. Their conference fee will be covered as a member of the organizing committee if they are in attendance.
