There is a LOT happening at this year’s SLCC, and room for many people to get involved in the planning! Below is a look into some of the content tracks and activities that we have planned, along with a link to a Google Group that has been set up specifically for each area. If you are interested in contributing to the content planning, please join the groups that interest you and join the conversations!
SLCC Interactive
Interactive content refers to several different hands-on style workshops that we have in mind to allow attendees to become actively involved in the experience! Attendees may be asked to collaborate to find a solution to a problem or produce some interesting new content. Either way, you are sure to have a very kinetic experience.
SLCC Excursions
One of the great things about San Francisco are the plethora of things to see and do in the city. What’s the point in traveling to a beautiful city if you aren’t going to have an opportunity to explore it? This is a great opportunity to hook up with your friends and do something purely social. If you live in San Francisco, we need you to join our street team and help us scout out fun sites to see.
SLCC Music
There is a strong interest in having a live music showcase at SLCC this year, so we will plan this as more of a focus rather than an afterthought. Help us put together a series of performances and perhaps some discussions about live music in Second Life.
SLCC Education
Education had a strong showing last year with many interesting panel discussions about how educational institutions are utilizing Second Life. The education community is continuing to grow. If you have an interesting experience or idea to share about education in virtual worlds, please get involved!
SLCC Business
Hype season is over for Second Life. Find out what works and what doesn’t work for businesses in Second Life. If you run a business in Second Life, or if you are a member of a real life organization that continues to have a presence in Second Life, please share your experience with us.
