OPEN! OPEN! OPEN!

We could not be happier to announce that registration for the 5th annual Second Life Community Convention,2009 is now O-P-E-N!
So, without further ado, go here!

Some “ado” for you.

For those who’d prefer more “ado”, here you are (we aim to please!):
We are aware that times are a little tough for some of us this year. So, we are not only offering tickets at an overall lower price (compared to past years), but we are also making a couple “early bird” specials available for an even lower price!

So what do I have to pay?

  • If you want to pay $135.00, you need to be one of the first 200 people to buy a ticket. Ended
  • If you think $150.00 is a good price, be sure to register/pay by April 30th.
  • How about $175.00? Register/pay between May 1st and July 31st.
  • OK, so if you joined the party late, that’s completely OK! You’re welcome to register/pay $200.00 between August 1st and August 13th.
  • And for those that like to live on the edge and/or enjoy the spontaneity of life, we offer you admission for $225.00 at the door!

So, if you go now and register, you will see some great improvements in the registration program – it’s professional, streamlined and slick! We love it and hope you will, also!

How can I pay?
We are able to accept payments by Paypal and Google Checkout (using a credit card or Paypal). Also, if you’d prefer, we will accept Linden payments. Unfortunately, the registration website does not allow for the same registration process. So here’s what you’d need to do:
1) Send your payment to the avatar named “slconvention control” (our offical SLCC avatar). Your payment must be based on that days’ selling price.
2) Then send an email with the SUBJECT LINE: LINDEN PAYMENT to registration@thefutureunited.com stating that you made a payment for SLCC using Lindens.
3) After verifying the payment and amount, we will reply to your email with a special registration code.
4) You may then log onto the registration website, using the code to complete the registration process.

And here’s even more information on Linden payments:

  • First 200 tickets: $135 + $3.38 fee = $138.38 (L$36,450)
  • Up to April 30th: $150 + $3.75 fee = $153.75 (L$40,500)
  • May 1st – July 31: $175 + $4.38 fee = $179.38 (L$47,250)
  • August 1st – August 31st: $200 + $5.00 fee = $205.00 (L$54,000)
  • At the door: $225 (Payment in L$ not possible!)

OK, great. And the room cost(s)?

We’ve got some great discounts on the rooms for ya! Here’s the bottomline:

  • Single and Double rooms: $159/night
  • Triple room: $189/night
  • Quad room: $199/night

So, now that you know the rates, you absolutely need to go book your room(s) at the special website just for us! The group rate is only good up to July 13th. So, let me repeat… go book your room.

How do I get my discount if I am volunteering at the SLCC?
GREAT THINKING! Please, BEFORE you register, email Misty Rhodes. To get your discount, you need to email Misty Rhodes BEFORE you register! When? BEFORE you register. What? email. Who? Misty Rhodes!

Hopefully this is all the information you need to register. We will continue to post more information soon… like, how you can be a sponsor of SLCC, how and why to volunteer to help out at SLCC, etc. So, please be sure to check back often, or email us with registration related questions! We’d love to help you!

Serving your community,
TFU

So i’m not sure if it was posted yet but nexeus you mentioned the free wifi on one of your posts, when reserving the room at the hotel all the listings say wifi for a fee, any updates on that? Also any news on a recommend shuttle to use since the hotel has no shuttle? These are the last 2 items I need to reserve then I’m fine and dandy.

    Vicero,

We contacted the hotel and were told that those who register through out registration portal (http://www.starwoodmeeting.com/Book/secondlife09) will receive codes to have internet access in their guest room. Codes, information, and access will be given at the time of arrival of the hotel.

As for a recommend shuttle from the airport, we have contacted the local Super Shuttle and have worked out a discount for travel from the airports to the the hotel. we will post the details of this along with many other travel details very soon.

Can we make partial payments of Linden dollars and pay the rest in real dollars?

  5. Lilly Eliska says

    Hello Nicole,
Payments must either all L$ or all US$. If you want to pay in all L$, we suggest that you purchase more L$ or if you want to pay in all US$, just cash out L$ as needed.
