Business Track

The Business Track for SLCC is intended to be a comprehensive set of speakers and activities that educate and promote interaction between members of the extended Second Life business network. This network of people includes third party developers working with Second Life, private entrepreneurs using Second Life as a source of income, and corporations and organizations using Second Life for various purposes. The Business Track should provide a variety of topics, speakers, activities, and opportunities to network to provide a 360 degree business nurturing experience at SLCC.

The business track will cover the following topics:

  • Scripting / Building challenges (small break-out groups)
  • Community Building in SL – Panel session with moderator
  • Behind the firewall – Solutions for doing virtual world business behind a corporate firewall
  • “What the heck am I doing here?” – Exploring relevance for business employees in using virtual worlds for business.
  • Corporate events in virtual worlds – How to make them work!
  • The virtual workplace – What SL can and can not do.
  • What are corporations doing in SL?
