Friday, August 12th, will be a relatively low-key day with open Registration and Sponsor Exihibits setting up at the hotel, but we leave the schedule open for attendees to schedule their own social events, mixers, and birds-of-a-feather meetings. Plan a get together with your friends or with other convention attendees here!

I’m trying to set up a full-afternoon event, a sail on the Bay on the USA 76. Question: will SLCC workshops/activities be going on Sunday afternoon? If so, I’ll look at scheduling this on the Monday (in which case it is probably NOT an official SLCC event; I’m sure you have insurance limitations)). But if things end Sunday by noon, we can do this Sunday afternoon. I’m on a time crunch to set this up; do you have this info? Thanks!
Hi Dave – The best day for something like that would probably be either Friday or Monday, the program content will go from Saturday 8AM through Sunday at 5PM and we MAY have an evening film screening Sunday night (pending confirmation of details). Hope that helps and it’s awesome you’re organizing something like this!
Thanks! Exactly what I need to know. (Not sure if SLCC itself wants to try something, but the yacht AMERICA (reproduction of the original yacht that one the very first race, thereby creating the name “America’s Cup” is available for charter trips on the Bay. This is a Big Deal event: $6000 for up to 50, $8500 for 51-80. 4-hour trip and the ship reaches 15 knots; that’s blazingly fast on the Bay. That’s not something I could put together, but if SLCC is looking for something huge, it’s out there. http://acsailingsf.com )
